Sharp's Own  (H)

Unspoilt 400-year old pub in small scenic village, overlooking the Fowey river and the Bodinnick car ferry. The bar area, warmed by a coal fire in winter, is full of ship artefacts and memorabilia and antique pictures of the area. A separate 'family room', so-called from the old days, has one wall of the bedrock into which the inn is built, while an upstairs terrace (open in all weathers) has great views over the river and Fowey. Meals available 1200-1430, 1830-2030 (1800-2100 summer). There are 12 letting rooms available, 8 of which are ensuite. Car parking is up the hill 50m  through an archway.
