Bolingey Inn Open
W/days: 1100-2400
(0100 Fri, Sat) Sharp's Doom Bar
(H) Tucked
away in a small hamlet and approached by narrow roads, this small but attractive
17th-century pub has a limited car park, but it is equipped with a hitching rail for
equestrian patrons. The Bolingey has two bars, one primarily used as a
restaurant and the other, with its open fire, more for drinking. The 4 handpumps
will generally supply an additional local brew to the permanent Doom
Bar, as well as a couple of variable guests taken imaginatively from the
Punch listings. Real cider is also usually available, from
Thatcher's or another supplier. An occasional beer festival is
held here. Meals are
served every day 1100-1430 & 1830-2100; the pub is proud to advertise the
use of local produce throughout. The buses pass around 5min walk
away down the hill, or on Liskey Hill out of Perranporth (incl. eves)
around 15-20 min/900m walk uphill. |
