Pleasant traditional village local, beamed and built of granite, not far from Land's End and the coastal path. The pub offers up to three local Cornish ales, plus a house blend from Skinners and called Tallack Tipple. Skinner's Press Gang cider is also offered.  Although converted to a single bar, there are several distinct drinking areas including a separate family room, and a spacious beer garden. Mining pictures around the walls reflect the once-dominant local industry. Known for its imaginative and good-quality food, the pub also holds a popular beer festival in September. A good bus service passes the door.
