This tastefully refurbished old rural gem is tucked away in a quiet village near Saltash, just off the beaten track. The two guest ales are regularly and imaginatively changed; there is, however, no food. Recently cleaned up somewhat after having been largely unaltered for years, the pub has low ceilings and well-trodden wooden floors; the famous and the former rather primitive traditional outside toilets have been replaced with clean and stylish indoor facilities. The pub is dog-friendly, also has darts and euchre teams, and there is an outside boules piste. Buses, including an evening service, pass on the A388 about 20min walk away.
