Open
W/days:
1200-1500,
1800-late Sharp's
Doom Bar
(H) This
unspoilt 14th century inn sits by the village church, with which it shares a car
park. A popular local haunt, its bar has uneven floorboards and
wooden partitions, which help to retain an authentic atmosphere. There is plenty
of room in various nooks and corners indoors, and a quiet enclosed beer
garden is found to the rear of the pub. Good quality and value food,
much of it sourced locally, is served daily 1200-1430 and 1800-2130.
Regular music on Saturday evenings and other events are held, some to
raise funds for the local hospice. |
