(H) This
typical village pub, locally known as 'Bridges', offers a friendly,
no-nonsense welcome to both locals and visitors, including children and
dogs. It has been in recent times tastefully refurbished and although
now one room, is still partially divided into lounge and bar sections.
The latter is mainly for drinking, whilst the 'lounge' provides the
primary eating facility. The pub can be reached via the beautiful
Luxulyan Valley, which still shows many remnants of the area's
industrial past. The famous Eden Project is only 3km away by bus, and
the Par to Newquay ('Atlantic Coast') branch railway line
also passes close by - the station is a request stop and on the
local Rail Ale Trail. |
