King Abbot
(H) A
popular village pub/hotel with a large, but cosy and warm, L-shaped bar
having beamed ceilings and a slate-flagged floor. The main Hunters' Bar
is well-appointed with wooden settles, with the games area similarly
furnished with the padded variety. The Castle Gold is badged as a house
beer, General Bullers' Gold. The pub hosts two full skittles
teams. The pub has a reputation for good food, and features regular live
entertainment, particularly on Saturday evenings. An additional room is
used for small private events, while the huge Redvers function room
(with its own bar) is large enough to cater for weddings and
conferences. |
