Tribute
(H) This
welcoming community pub, popular with locals and walkers alike, was formerly the
village school. Its large carpeted single bar has distinct drinking
areas separated by a wooden screen, and sports 4 handpumps; Doom Bar is
a permanent fixture and Tribute is also usually present, but there may be up
to 2 guest beers from the local area depending on season. There is a separate
restaurant behind the right-hand end or you can eat in the bar; the pub serves home-cooked food 1200-1400 and 1900-2100. Children are welcome anywhere in the pub. Although described
as 'quiet' there is sometimes subdued background music, and a plasma screen TV for
big sporting events. |
