(H) On
the Truro-Falmouth Rail Ale Trail, this small and sociable 18th-century
cottage-style village pub lays an emphasis is on good food - most of the
tables are laid up for meals, so you almost have to sit at the bar if
you only want a drink, but you are nevertheless quite welcome to do so.
Bookings for tables are advisable as the pub often gets busy with
diners. The guest beer is usually a Cornish brew, and draught cider from
Skinners may be available in summer. Bus services stop outside
connecting with Truro and Helston; the railway station is about 15
minutes walk away. |
