This is a traditional moorland village pub, reputedly built in 1750 as lodgings for builders of the church tower opposite. The light and airy bar has a separate area for euchre, darts and pool teams, and there is an outside patio with protected area for smokers. A second real ale (from the Enterprise Inns list) may also be available. Food is served 1200-1400 (1500 Sun) & 1800-2100.

Welcoming 200-year old inn on the edge of Bodmin Moor, which offers two bars and eating areas.  Recently refurbished, the pub now has a modern look to its interior as opposed to the traditional. The stone-walled bar is decorated with local pictures, while the lounge is carpeted with the real fire in winter adding to the cosy atmosphere. A wide choice of food is available 1200-1500 & 1800-2100. The pub stages a beer festival over the last weekend in June.
