large roadside hostelry was refurbished during 2006. It has one
good-sized room with an enormous fire in winter, and a small games room
behind the bar. There is also a light and airy restaurant and a separate
function room. Families and dogs are welcome, and there is a good garden
area and plenty of parking space. Food, locally sourced and freshly
prepared, is available 1200-1400 and 1800-2100, all day Sunday.
Occasional live evening entertainment, which includes visiting jazz
bands playing on Sunday lunchtimes. The two guest ales may be sourced
from national or local breweries. B&B accommodation. |
