Down narrow country lanes but well worth finding, this picturesque and welcoming 16th century village pub is constructed from two cottages. It has a pleasant, cosy ambience, and an attractive garden. Well-known in the area for its food, prepared where possible with fresh seasonal produce, meals are available lunchtimes and evenings, and all day Sunday (until 2000).  A beer festival is held in August.
