(H This
classic Cornish stone-walled country community pub on the main Redruth-Helston
road boasts two bars
and a fine collection of brassware; the back lounge bar doubles as a
restaurant in summer. The licensee varies the choice of up to two
guest ales regularly; one of these is normally Cornish and may include a
brew from the nearby Poldark micro-brewery. The second guest appears
during the summer and during busy winter periods. Food is available
daily, with roast
lunch on Sundays. Opening times may be extended ad hoc when the pub is
busy, although note that it closes for about 12 days during the annual
November staff holiday. The 34 bus service
passing the door serves Helston and Redruth railway station. |
